shot with infrared filter - a lot of comments indicate that this is a nice winter scene - it is not - it was shot in the middle of summer, all the white is caused by infrared filter which removes all the color from trees only lets the reds pass through - it makes for special effect, sort of sci-fi sometimes, or surreal, or simply magical

there are all trees an shrubs and plants of various green color and intensity - because of infrared, they turn to white, all sorts of different whites depending on the plant - like fir trees usually will be darker and willow trees will be very white - infrared does that
