What a strong mood this conveys spoken by the posture of the man in the foreground. This is also a fascinating photo to explore...the vintage cars, the streetlamps...Nice use of the telephone pole with the electric poles receding into the background.

The lines of the top of the wall and the telephone lines lead my eye into the frame and keep them moving about, to take in all points... this isn`t a sight I have ever seen( those old cars) so I find it most interesting.

Nice to see one of the older images, and to remember what it was like at this time. I walked the NY. streets some in 1961, with a TLR, and know what the term candyman means.

I`ve browsed through your collection of many beautiful shots - but this is one thats mood really got me;) I like jus about everything about this shot - powerlines, pose of man, light flow on the streets, grain nature. This photo is one another reason for me to move to medium format;)
