Yes you can... pretty simple pic. and that technique isn`t a secret.

Just wait a right light to come between wood`s in forrest.
Put 1-2 sec. time in timemode (in Canon it is TV) on your camera and when the shutter is open zoom it 17mm to 35mm or otherwise.
