Taken In the ghost town of Jerome, Arizona. This old hospital had been abandoned in the 1960s. It seemed to tell a story of lives lost to another world. This collage sort of created itself. Actually there are only two pictures -the hospital lobby and the sky above the day I took the picture. However there are 9 layers which all contribute to the picture. Using a standard darkroom this would have taken me many days to create - but it could have been done.

Steve - i think the truly gifted artists are often over looked those that experiment and push frontiers - for the most part the ratings are meaningless - a pat on the back for a similar one - but this piece is not only original - it is evocative of things that are familliar and unknown in my memory - the floating light patterns is incredible and the sky surrounding the room which in turn looks out on the sky - - I just thouhgt it would make a beauitiful album cover - the beatles come to mind. Your images - if rated by quality and creativity and originality belong at the top of the list. The ratings do more to hide what is truly great on this forum than the reveal. I think it is time for me to give some thought to more crerative ways to discover what is inside.
