Babette, I try to use always the same amount of light, if the yellow is darker the composition is out of balance..... 
Well, Peter, you know that I don`t rant and rave about every single macro you do. This, however, is in a class all by itself. This is certainly one of your best photographs, as presented at PF, if not _the_ best. In my opinion, of course. I love so much about it - the cool, subdued lighting, the crispness and precision, the gorgeous colors. The image is _alive_. Perhaps my only concern is the fact that these prominent vertical stalks make the foreground a bit too busy. Is this dusk or early morning? No doubt this time of the day is much better for photography during bright daylight. Wonderfully done. I wouldnt` say it if I didn`t mean it.
