I know there isn`t a direct relevance or similarity, but my first thought upon seeing it was that it somehow reminds me of Roman Polanski`s "Knife in Water", even if only by the presence of water and some bodies in it smile The composition is beyond belief. All the elements just float and flow together. EXcellent!!

if in `Friends 3` the title was more than appropriate (i liked even the number - it did not necessarily include the picture in a series) here i would have gone for another (in contrast to `Friends 3` it does not say much here) i do not want to suggest any right now but i am sure you could find several if you wanted to think about it (which you don`t have to of course)

it crosses my mind that if you called it `three friends` it would tell us a very interesting story there are three people that are bound to one another and one that does not belong to them and for that reason is let drown

one looks at the world watching them let the extra-one disappear and listens to what they have to say
we do not know what is in his head
he just listens - quite carefully apparently
another one - the young woman in the middle - does not want to seem to care at all she turns her head away both from the drowning man and the world that could condemn her for not showing compassion
the third of the friends has found something of interest in yet another direction
she is fine
she is almost happy

it is a cruel world it is a bitch and then some die

the water does not care it takes its toll it also thrills and reflects what cannot be taken yet

ps in `Frinds 3` i was talking about making commnets to pictures
rating them is at times also a problem it comes down to taste finally but still i`ve seen some gross ratings lately on the one hand pictures that mean nothing at all get the maximum on the other hand pictures that are clearly good pass unnoticed for some reasons or get ratings lower than deserved - to take just one example there is this picture i discovered yesterday `The Bench` by Emil A three people rated it and they did it as such (4.70) (4.30) (4.70) which is a shame why because though Emil A appears to be somewhat inconsistent he clearly shows in a few shots (of which `The Bench` is by all means one) he has a genuine eye and the right brains for photography

i also had moments of sheer pleasure during the last few days seeing pictures by artists underrated such as Alfa and Antonio Paulo
