Terrible picture. Very GOOD!

Armindo Dias Armindo Dias #5 Thu 4 Aug 2005 01:28

Well, i guess the terrible means it's good... oike terrible in a good way.

Thank you for your comment. smile

Shure, it means exelent. Terrible means feelings, not a picture... Good luck.

an odd setup; the hooded personage would have resembled a KKK character if not for the misery of the surroundings;-)

Armindo Dias Armindo Dias #7 Thu 4 Aug 2005 01:41

Many people have told me that, that the character resembles somehow a KKK member. But this is far from what i wanted to do. This hat is more like a clown hat or a dumb-chlid-in-the-corner hat... That was what i wanted to do. smile

Uma imagem "desconfortavel" mas arrebatadora. Overwhelming, como se costuma dizer em ingles. Gostei! Um abraco.

Muito obrigado pelo comentбrio.

Um abraзo.

Very Good. You seem to understand Goya.

regards
John

Armindo Dias Armindo Dias #16 Thu 4 Aug 2005 13:19

Actually, Goya is one of my favorite painters.

Thank you. smile

John Segon-Fisher John Segon-Fisher #20 Thu 4 Aug 2005 18:18

I thought so. He is also a hero of mine and you have done a great jo of capturing his mood. But how do you translate that mood into what you "actually see" around you - as opposed to recreating new versions of his caprices?

regards

John

Armindo:
Congrats...love the light and simple composition and provactive theme. You have captured a very human story with compassion and sensitivity. Well done!
