This is Goldie in his first meeting with Maximus. I was taking care of him for a few days while my mom and dad went away. Needless to say, it didn't go well. Max was intent on catching Goldie and Goldie was intent on not being caught. Goldie ran to what he thought was the safety of the couch back and Max just climbed up on the couch and it became a staring match. Finally, Goldie started growling (after spitting) and I got Max down. The next day, I went without Max - Goldie came out very cautiously and looked around for Max before he would even let me pet him... he wasn't happy. :)
