I like this picture. IMHO though I feel its a little over exposed and a tighter crop could have helped.

I did toy with the idea of such a crop, but for me it felt a bit claustrophobic.

Had a look at your folder - see what you mean about overexposure now - I was generous with the Gamma setting - the resulting loss of colour saturation obviously doesn't sit well with Californians!-)

Gary, as a creator, youre the best judge of how your image turned out. Crop and even saturation are relative. Gamma factor, on the other hand, are quite universal and should not be varying from one image to another.

Btw, I still do velvia and am learning the digital jargons:)

Won't argue with that, but it now seems to get lighter everytime I look at it!
Afraid gamma was my shorthand for Corel's gamma control - I used it to lighten the image without burning out the highlights.
Not heard of Velvia before - but from what I read on Wikipedia digital has a long way to go to match it.
