This photo is taken about 15 minutes into the hike and the trail itself goes up to the left of the glacier as seen in the previous photo. At this point, I realize that this is not going to be one of my favorite trails despite the spectacular scenery(How many places does one get to hike next to a glacier this size). As you can see on the left side of the photo, there is quite a dropoff from the trail toward the glacier. (And, it gets worse) Fortunately, the footing is very good on this trail. To illustrate the size of this glacier, this was taken at 12mm on the nikon 12-24 lens(with crop factor comes to be at 18mm) and I still couldn't get all the glacier in the picture. wow.. such a place.. i get you better now when talking about that trail..
your note about the lens, shows well the immensity..
impressive..
i don't give up, anyway, and i go on.. (Billy is sure here, also улыбаюсь )
