Valdez, Alaska photo1
Perhaps one of the prettiest spots in Alaska is the town of Valdez. The original town sat a few miles north of this location but was wiped out in an earthquake. This is also the terminus for the Alaska pipeline. It's hard for me to imagine such a beautiful place such as this was so damaged by the Exxon Valdez many years ago. The next several photos will be from Valdez which is certainly worth the drive.

Beautiful shot Jim ! The photo is layered with interest throughout the whole scene. I wouldn't guess this was in the area of the oil spill from this photo.
