well, both, additive,as a car, needs to work better.. but just a bit, not to become addictive!
special tones and nice composed.. maybe sharper would be good, yes.. but it is effective image!

As to the sharpness your are right, the whole glass sharper would be the best, but I was shooting with no tripod but my hands on the table, so I went for the bottle and the falling liquid.
