It dismantled and have taken away from the area of the Belarus station five years ago. Before Maxim Gorkogo's sculpture met and saw off the passengers coming on the Belarus station of capital. But under it capital authorities have decided to construct parkings and a trading complex. Have promised, that in three years will return on a habitual place, and temporarily will place in park " Muzeon " on Crimean to a shaft. But we with you know, that there is nothing more constant, than time. Already also has passed two years as it should stand on a former place. . .
The monument to Maxim Gorky (sculptors I.Shadr and V.Mukhina) in square at the Belarus station was open on June, 10, 1951. On this place in 1928 Maxim Gorky has addressed to muscovites who solemnly met the writer who has come back home from Italy. Then also the Tver street, the main street of Moscow, has been named his name. With the beginning of reforms of the Russian society, in 1990, the Gorky street has been again renamed. Fortunately, the monument to the "Petrel" as frequently still name Gorky, has escaped. Maxim Gorkogo's creativity is much wider than those frameworks in which it was exhausted with official literary criticism. It is possible, that the Russian reader still should rediscover for itself both "Old woman Izergil", and "Mother", and « Klim Samgin » and many - many other things.
