You are correct !
I wish i would have dared more... but i was so close to fall into the water. So i did not take a lot of time to think more.
Thank you for the comment, it's very appreciated!

Regards
Andre

clearly recognizable compositional lines are a plus but an empty sky is a minus

Thank You for your comment. I would have liked less sky like Anna suggested. The sky is very boring but the day did not offer a alternative view of the sky. But i should have composed it a bit different in this case. So Your suggestion is as well correct and i try to consider it in future.

Best Regards
Andre

I meant that you could have added some clouds [from another image] to balance it all. There is some sense in what Anna wrote, too, i.e. the boats are enormously large but I am not sure if you were able to retreat or zoom out.

Ohh you speaking of a fake sky... hmmm
I do have the skills for doing this kind of things and need it for my job. But i have a hard time to overcome my inhibitions to use it on my pictures. as i try to get better with photography and not with digital darkroom. therefore i have limited myself to very basic corrections and darkroom functions.
Sure it is a kind of art for it self. it's just up to personal taste and philosophy to do so.
But i'll thinking about it and i will play with that soon. Thank you for your suggestion.

Best Regards
Andre
