The woman is holding a magazine "Eesti Naine" (Estonian Woman) from 1939. That was the last year of peace before the II WW and at the same time the year when Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed between SU and Germany what dealt the Europe between SU and Germany. That led to the soviet occupation and massive deportations of civilians to Siberia. The photo symbolizes the last year of peace and harmony for Estonian woman, family and land. Nothing was the same any more after that year.

Мне нравятся ваши работы , отличная стилизация под эротическое фото начала прошлого века ,но привязка к символизму и политизированное объяснение показались мне несколько натянутыми.Обложка журнала в стиле конструктивизма представляет интерес сама по себе. smile

Thanks, but there is no politics involved wink Just historical background of the idea. But anyhow - whats wrong with politics - if it is not dirty propaganda of course? Very big part of contemporary art is political or based on global-social problems.

Модель хороша и нежна!! Но голова притянута
очень близко к рамке ,нет воздуха.
Кроме всего ,яблоки соблазна на переднем плане
и графин с вином ,мне кажется совершенно
лишними!
