The manor ensemble Porkuni was built on the site of the settlement. Modern buildings of the estate Porkuni belong to the 19th century. The last owner of the manor, von Rennenkampf, decided to build a new estate in a more representative and distinct style instead of an old manor. The building was popularly called “Porkuni Castle”. Near one of the corners of the building stands an 8-angle tower with a toothed parapet. This is the gate tower of the ancient city that has survived to the present day. Today it houses the Porkuni Museum of Limestone. There are a lot of limestone buildings in the vicinity: the steward's house, a coach house, a stable, a barn for drying, a vodka factory, a carpentry workshop and a large part of the walls of the fence. In the manor is a school. The building can only be viewed from the outside.
P.S. Schools are no longer there, she moved to a new building, and the complex itself was sold to someone from the English last year, 2017, the year ... local residents say the buildings are orphaned because no one has seen the new owners, but the people are out of habit

спасибо.ну там со смехом было всё таки чуток сложновато,но он по любому был.Школа там была для детей с проблемами опорно двигательной системы точно,вроде как ещё и глухонемые тоже там учились. smile smile handshake

спасибо, место на самом деле красивое с удивительно прозрачным озером,которое переходит за счёт дренажа в пруды,кстати история у озера тоже есть,там периодически пропадает вода и на нём тусуют плавающие острова,причём реально с деревьями и зверьём smile handshake

Оль,они реально горят,включены...как то полгода назад тоже сюда заезжали на пару минут и они тоже горели,но тогда как то особо не зациклился на этом.а тут вспомнил этот момент. smile flower handshake my variant of the photo
