This is a night shot of the Nags Head Fishing Pier taking around midnight from the thirdstory balcony of the house we were staying in. I used a tripod with my usual minolta and 70-300mm zoom.

You did a great job holding form and detail in the water. If the exposure is too short, the water goes dark, and if too long it smooths out. You were dead on with the right combination.
