Very organic looking and so sharp for low light and hand held! Well done.
:-)

Very delicate texture! Nice authentic forest lighting! I would
be tempted to crop either half up the upper or lower part away
to help composition , but I think you wanted to show that the mushrooms
grow high up the trunk, so it works well also this way

Hey Peter, This reminds me of the two photographers who had to photograph the forest... with one photo... The first went up the hill... the other walk into the forest... and came back with this...!!!

Excellent capture!

Outstanding! You have a steady hand, Peter. It wouldn`t hurt to `kill` those light spots at the top.

Such a sharp image with 1/30 is a steady hand... smile Good work and very good lightning of the subject!

A wood smell

This is a really great shot, Peter. Have you tried making the composition a little more dynamic? It`s kinda like dead center. Which of course would be great for a biology text book. I notice a lot of your shots are dead center. Maybe you might like to try experimenting with composition a little to get a little more tension or excitement into your shots - which otherwise are technically excellent. Just a thought. I really do love this shot.
