Gosh this is wonderful. My only niggle is the partial head dress on the left. But what a portrait!!!

Wow! The eyes say it all! This is magnificent. You certainly seem to have a touch with childrens portraiture! I`d like to see a little more space in the frame at the top, but that is inconsequential! Way to go! smile

-1- Agree.
-3- I do not see any problems with the framing.
The scratch on a cheek spoils impression too sad smile

I think that the little streak on her face is actually a little wisp of her hair which has blown in that direction...it was a windy day...and...we were outside...playing appalachian music for the children..Different groups came and didn`t stay very long...when I spied this pretty young lady...I had to put my banjo down...grab my camera...and...pray for a decent shot...a matter of seconds...the pink hat next to her was worn by her friend...who was really posing for the candid shot..All I wanted was this particular girl...hence...I couldn`t find a way to get rid of that pink flowered hat....but...perhaps it lends some authenticity for the school event...as I recall...it was pretty chilly outside...even with the apple-butter cooking in a copper kettle with a wood-fire under it...whew...what we don`t do for a "photo-op."

Great. I`ll keep more space at the bottom of frame -- to balance the big dark and heavy spot of hair...

Lovely look, eyes and smile, Mary. Left dress is rather distracting.

Peter Schwarz Peter Schwarz #11 mon 22 Oct 2001 21:35

Again a Beauty, Mary - You captured `her look` very well. I agree also with Wahid! Beautiful image!

Great candid, fine exposure and DOF, only the other at left distract but this shots are hard to clean them
