Masterpiece. But http://www.photoforum.ru/rate/photo.php?photo_id=11444 is better. for me
Over comment standards, Greg!
absolutely incredible...reminds me of Towering Inferno...so dynamic and sooooo appealing...
A lot of Power in this shot! Not bad at all...
Как-будто не закат, а извержение вулкана...
Such good person, and all time suits fires. And then also photographes. Also does makes very professionally!!!! I joke certainly. Very much it was pleasant!
Impressive, it does me to remember my photos of the eruption of the volcano of Teneguía in the Islands Canary.
Congratulations, Greg.
Heya, Greg! Why not crop the darkness off the top? (although there`s an interesting face-like apparition in the upper right, but I think it can be sacrificed ). I`m sad to report that I have never seen nature in such a condition. Mesmerizing looking. Nature isn`t perfect, and neither is photography, but in a perfect world I`d wish for the bottom of this photo to be combined with the top 2/3rds of the previous photo, and to the resulting image, I`d add a bit of "fire" on the sides. I loved the intensity of the `flames` in the first photo but thought that land element was too dark. Here, the latter is just perfect, in my view, but the sky is more scattered and not as bright red. Know what I mean? This isn`t a call to action, it`s not criticism. Just a comment, hope you don`t mind
I think I said in the last one I am taking a trip down. I see a place for my tent by the first shrub. What a light show!
Another great shot Greg.
I appreciate your feedback a great deal - even though I disagree with some of your suggestions. I think having dialogue between critiquer and photographer is a good idea - so if you wish me to respond to your suggestions and oberservations - let me know.
I cropped some of the space at the top - in order to get a feel for a larger crop - I`ll have to print - screen images don`t really give the whole story - I`ll let you know what I find. I find it interesting that some like the ethereal look of the first post - while others want natural looks - I personally think there`s enough documentary photography already - combining the two images - I wish I had used the polarizer on the next shot with the same comp, but the light changed so quickly - it wasn`t possible and it was the polarize that might have made a difference because there was more light on the field by the 2nd shot.
We`ve had so few sunrises with good skies lately - I`m a little out of practice.
Thanks,
Greg
Javier - I would like to see those shots of the eruptions
