Wow, Peter! This is wonderful! I love the reflections and the the time of evening that you captured this. I don`t think it would look as beckoning in the the sunshine...more like a magazine article. Here it appears as a haven.

It`s a beautiful scene, well composed and a perfect exposure, Peter.

It was a good idea to give more room to the reflectionon the water it made a wounderful effect.

Thank you for your kind words - I don’t deserve such high ratings - I am not good at evening/night landscape shots, so I highly recommend to view ‘Nightfall in bank district of Frankfurt’ of Yang Fang – he is good at night shots!

A nice image Pete. the reflected lights do work well. I feel however the sky is a little over and the branches ULC are for me blurry.

Don`t tell me it`s macro.... smile )) Nice to see some change of "Genre"... I think an abillity to shoot different things is the true skill! Perfect exposure and composition, but I believe it has a drift to the left? The angle with a horison would be several tenth of a degree...

You are absolutely right, Peter! Thank you.

Peter,
Just read your kind words to my night shot accidentally. I`m really flattered.:) Actually, I had hesitated to post that night shot for a while before, because I was afraid it wouldn`t be interesting enough for the experts in this forum from originality point of view. I`m happy I got some positive feedback last.
To this shot, the scene is very attractive, the old castle, the lake and the park ... all at dusk. I guess, unlike my situation, you didn`t have much time to shoot it then, right? If you have a chance to shoot it again, you`d better wait 20-40 minutes longer. Then, the sky will be darker, all the rooms will be lighted and you will get more reflections of the lights (eventuelly even from the tower!). Anyway, the current shot is not perfect, but already looks very attractive.
No night shot expert, only my 2 cents.
Yang
