Famous monuments of Alfama...
Panteao Nacional = National Pantheon known as Santa Engracia Church was built in XVI century and rebuilt in the XVII`s, it`s one of the most impressive example of Baroque style and in 1916 was designated as "National Pantheon", but only in 1966 was open to the public and it was also by that time that many sepulcres of famous dead people were transfered from the Jeronimos Monastery. The greatest Fado singer Amalia Rodrigues is burried there.
PS:it was my option do not correct the keystoning effect in this photograph.

No need to always correct the keystoning effect Luquesio! It probably looks more imposing like it is!

Greetings from Japan,

Craig
