Good shot, but it seems to me more like Hanukkah candles.
Очень нравится...
слов нет как нравится..
именно свет. хрупкий как надежда....
стараюсь не дышать что бы не задуть его...
Thanks, Babette. It is a good thing to know about Christmas traditions in Latvia. I guess, I got confused by the shape of the candeleier - it is the same shape and number of candles Jewish people use to light during the Hanukkah celebration season (according to their traditions).
Ohh, I am a little bit surprised! I don`t think that number of candles has any special meaning here; it could be one candle as well. The idea is to bring as much light as possible into the darkness that is receding. You see, our christian traditions have always been strongly mixed up with those of our ancient beliefs celebrating the winter solistice
interesting shot...Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Beautiful.
( [7,8] it isn`t the same number, although the shape is very similar. But it doesn`t matter anyway. The term `festival of light` can be quite universal.)
For sure I am one of your fans on line Babette. Rare dramatic use of B&W capturing the yellow spots of light in unique framing!
Great!!
Wonderful image - Great peace of art - Outstanding work, Babette!
There seems to be something both sad and joyful, or maybe hopeful in this image - just terrific
Great image.
