Crossing the Bridge 25 de Abril we went to Almada, on the south bank of the river Tejo (Tagus), where we visited The Cristo-Rei Sanctuary.

It is a 110 metre high statue of Christ and it was inaugurated in 17th of Mai 1959 and built because Portugal didn`t enter in the II World War.

From which there is an amazing view over Lisboa and the estuary of the river Tejo.
