The foreground wonderful coloras jsust needs a bit more light on it which you can get with a flash you can carry in your pocket. What is that collorful stuff growinfg there anyway?
Good image!
Magic oasis among all that sand! One side hevier than other? And what? Big deal. There cannot be stiff rules in art. That would be the same as to set stiff rules upon ones mind and vision. Yes, sometimes the picture falls apart, when one part of it is obviously hevier than other, but not here. This is a complete scene. And no need to lighten foreground either. It matches so well with dark silouetthes of palm trees. Wonderful work, Reda.
Nice and calm atmosphere in this shot.
Sorry Reda....this is nicely composed, but I find the lines leading me nowhere in particular! The foreground might be interesting but is a bit too dark, despite what Babette says.
Well, let`s not fall into camps of thought here, these are all opinions, after all. But since Babette was the first to voice the issues, I`m actually with her on this one. I really like the muted hues here. They, along with the patterns in the grass and the palm trees make for an appealing atmosphere. Maybe I`d crop a little tighter on the left, and take a pinch off the top (well, and the left-over from scanning bit on the right, of course), but it is a very tasteful and enjoyable photograph in all other respects. I think. Thanks, Reda
hello there
i am tio pepe a fairly new member here
i thought i should also add my comments and everything else
the idea here is i hope people need these to improve
`A photograph is not an accident, it is a concept. It exists at, or before, the moment of exposure of the negative. From that point on to the final print, the process is chiefly one of craft.`
Ansel Adams
so we have to do something about it
in the picture here i see a good feeling of perspective on the part of the author
as well as a very confusing combination of darker colder hues
as if a layer of cloth has been set over the image
it makes it distant yet at the same time vividly present
beautiful "palm-scape"...love the contrasts between the sky, trees and dune[?]...the foreground is just subtle enough...those palms must be very hearty...
Lovely in all ways, Reda.
Wonderful setting perhaps a 1/3 1/2 stop more light would bring out that super fground more
Inspite of all crriticism of unbalanced, dark and the like...nothing subtracts from the wonderful strong impact of composition, colour saturation andv dark key foreground of this shot, Reda.
Хорошая работа .
A very interesting work Reda. Two peaces and a boundary. Symbolical!
