there was a wood of conifers here, at Sarmiento, center of Patagonia... the eruptions of many volcanoes, covered the trees with lava`s ashes.... today, 65 millions of years after, we can discover some of the trees, now made stone, semihidden by earth... i will add more photos to show their big size and great textures.

I think that by pushing the horizon line up (cropping from above a little) you could create a more pronounced sense of perspective. This IMHO will increase the intended perception of looking back in time.

It is very strong image, but I think with a bit of additional effort, it could be made even stronger.

you are right, vadim.. that upper part is not necessary... moreover, to crop it lower than the cloud, would enhance the view i wanted to show... thanks so much for your suggestion
