I like it overall, however empty shadows are somwhat disturbing. Highlights would be washed out anyway due to humongous contrast of the scene, so it wouldn`t make them worse by adding a stop or two of exposure to lift up low values.

If you have raw original of this shot, try checking blue channel if it has any details in the dark areas, then convert to b&w via channel mixer based on blue component.

Also, horizontal framing might be more suitable for this shot.

Anyway, it`s nice all in all!
