Another picture that conveys the feeling of a cold day very well. (Here in England we complain when the temperature drops to +10 C.) I think an extra figure in the foreground would have helped lead us into the rest of the picture. The foreground is interesting because of the markings on the ice so why not show a little more of that and less of the sky, which is plain. That would also move the horizon away from the middle of the picture.
