Fernando Pessoa was born in Lisbon and lived in Durban (South Africa) between 1895 and 1905.
He created several heteronymous, such as, Alberto Caeiro, Ricardo Reis, Alvaro de Campos…and together with some other poets he founded the Orpheu magazine in 1935.
His poetry is considered the most important of the XX century in Portugal and is read and studied all over the world.
