hi there

if i write back the way i do (i.e., not replying to messages directly) it is because of lack of time - i combine answering and writing comments so as to move faster through all these things (otherwise it would be impossible for me to participate)
lately i was caught up in things connected to my job and could not write even a single line - i was not only busy preparing things but also away from home for three days

speaking of `Rippled and Glowing` what happened to me was that in the beginning i looked at it and could not make much of it my thoughts were all around and at the same time basically nowhere near it a few days later i started to see the whole thing as if it were a 3D picture it suddenly revealed its depth to me
i see the leaves alive now coming from a certain - loose - `knot` to the fore
spreading looking for space
the red light makes them even more unreal
almost menacing
i guess it was the frame that confused me the colour of this frame i would have never chosen that one myself

ps with regard to the quotations i add to my comments every once in a while i do so because i do not want to say in my own words what other people have already said almost everything has been already said - and countless times - that is true and that is what we have to live with for the rest of our limited lives but there are times when indeed one feels there is no use in paraphrasing though of course one does not have to do so slavishly (that is why i do not quote all the time...) another thing i know is that one has to always question the position from which one looks at things
therefore i do that myself

the haiku you quote (`Life/ Is like a butterfly/ Whatever it is.` (Nishiyama Soin, The Classic Tradition of Haiku. An Anthology) is interesting because of the question it raises in the last line - coming beautifully after the definition only to destroy it

you know you promised to send a photograph of the whole sculpture a detail of which is your `contours` and it`s never got to me did you give up sending it or did it get lost somewhere between the two ends
