To Russia with love

I`m starting here a serial of images which are part of a portfolio I called “To Russia with love”
These are assumed to be a vision diverting from the one normally vehiculed by tourists on vacation. To achieve such, I had recourse to techniques normally used in digital art.

The Annunciation Cathedral was built as private church of Moscow grand princes. The church, part of a palace complex, was connected to the prince`s residence by a passage, and was mainly used for private religious ceremonies: the members of the ruling family got married, baptized their children or confessed to the priest there.

The dome`s gold was accentuated and the image enveloped by a looking glass tone
