And the Norfolk pines terrace where you can find two venerable and gigantic Norfolk Islands Australian pines (Araucaria Heterophyla) with 300 years old and higher than the palace. The tiles (azulejos) panels convey us old stories and the sculptures are beautiful.
The palace is surrounded by four hectares of green spaces and there are lots of treasures to discover, from the Pombaline epoch, such as the Four Seasons Fountain, the cellarage and granary buildings, the laurel wood, the Tea Terrace and one of the most famous elements of the garden, The Poets Cascade.
