This is the fourth photo about Alfama of a series of six made in 2001
Walking in Alfama it’s like travelling in time some buildings are survivors at least partially of 1755 earthquake. You can see faзades of different epochs and a lot of architectural styles. You can imagine passing by you on the streets since the old sailors after a round trip to India making by all African coast in 16th century till pretty nobles girls in their sedan chairs covering their faces with gracious fans in 18th century.
The walls are looking you are the same walls was looking them.
