Along that narrow dirt road
past the honeysuckle growing wild,
Sweet, sweet smell ...

Pine trees lean right
angled by storms that raged
just yards away,
licked by salt air
their needles slightly brown

The grass is soft here
with wild strawberries
flowering small pink fruit
that melts on tongues
Sweet earthy juices

Blackberries hang
full and ripe
on walls built by strong hands
their sweet sour liquid
tempts our taste.

Lie with me here awhile
in the tall grass
and let the scent of pine
mingle
with the sweet honeysuckle
of your kiss.
