mmm...I have a lot of photos like that - where the focus is not on the main person
lot of things what we see and think are not sharp

Very empathetic photo. I think cropping the 2 figures out of focus on the left and tighter cropping on the central foreground figure would less the problem of the main figure being out of focus and draw the eye more towards the 2 figures in the middle background.
