This is one of the first cinemas of Lisbon, it was built in 1907, unknown authorship, represents one of the best examples of “Arte Nova=Art Nouveau” faзades in Lisbon, decorated with carving wood with vegetal features, green painted, and two vertical beautiful panels of tiles: this faзade is internationally famous and recognized as one of the most beautiful cinemas faзades in this style!
Very difficult to photograph because there are always cars parked in the sidewalk, I used a wide-angle lens to get a clean shot “of one of the three main entrances”...
I will post some more examples of Arte Nova (1900/1920) and Art Deco (1920/1930) in Portugal, I hope you like it.
