This is the beautiful balcony of the “Arte Nova faзade” of Politeama Theatre, which was built in 1912 by the Portuguese architect Ventura Terra.
We may say that “Arte Nova” is the National interpretation of the “French Art Nouveau” and it appeared in Portugal between late XIX’s and begining of XX’s centuries, just a few years before “Art Deco” and they are both intimately connected in Portugal: while “Arte Nova” is mainly represented by the elaborate decoration of the interiors and exteriors of a building, with wooden works, stone works, painted plate glass, tiles, and beautiful curved lines, “Art Deco” it’s a very special architecture with straight geometric lines, strong angles and Rococo and Neoclassical styles ironically represented… “Art Deco Architecture” was a reaction to the “Arte Nova” in Portugal…
Thanks again for your kind support and comments. Best wishes to all of you.

There is plenty of power to the picture.
I think black & white tones work pretty good here.
