Snow blows and drifts after a blizzard last weekend. To the left of the sun you can see the faint arch of a rainbow - perhaps more aptly called a "snow bow" in this case. It was caused by the sun shining through the fine mist of snow blowing through the air. There was a thin coating of ice on everything including the telephone wire which you can see on the upper right - and also including the road... which I promply got stuck on, spinning my tires after stopping to take this picture.

Desolate, but hopeful as that warm sun sets with the promise of another day. Beautiful image with really nice composition that could only be improved by asking the sun to take a few steps to the left (his right). *grin*
