i read once : "Sunsets are not as unpredictable as often thought. They normally follow an unmistakable pattern. They tend to be influenced by the mood of the day they are about to bid farewell to. When days are dull and colourless, sunsets normally pass unnoticed, a mere extension of a monotonous succession of time.But when a sunset follows a day which had witnessed a succession of changing moods at weather, it tends to embrace all the dramatic effects of that succession...

without any photoshop, this is the sunset at Agrigento, at that magic day, with greeks and romans and sicilians' souls pervading us.. and storm.. and sunshine.. and rain.. and..

It looks like a realistic painting to me,

And when the photographer adds an element which gives the sunset context and and interest, than we have a great sunset photo, with great impact!!! The silhouettes on the foreground are superb, as far as, the light and the sky.
