Above the "last stand of the Old soldiers" you can see the water has left much of the landscape drown and barren. Even at higher ground you can see this Arizona cholla cactus has its roots exposed. Evidence of an unusually wet Spring last year is everywhere. If you look real hard you might see what is left of one of the old soldiers down below!
