There is NO problem with the F5. In fact this picture has been sharpened after scanning the slide. You have WAY, and I repeat WAY, over sharpened this photo in your variant. You are making shots look unnatural with your photoshop techniques. This is NOT what should be done. Please learn to use a proper sharpening technique if you are going to do this.

The one other thing I noticed Roberto, is that you have adjusted the contrast to where it is very difficult to see the eye of the marmot. In my opinion, it is very important to see the eye/eyes of the wildlife you are shooting.
