Vertical orientation of the staff is necessary for the given work. It is necessary to show a fine long neck which is crowned with a fine beak and a cop. And it is impossible to cut off the cop (at the right side of foto).

Such a wonderful grace and details that you have captured! I wish that there was a little more space between the beak and the end of the frame. It almost seems like he/she will be bumping the beak at the abrupt stopping point. That is just a small observation of mine. Great work! How you got this close is a wonder to me.
