i like so much the idea in it..
just as a comment, as i cant criticize.. i dont even know how to do this kind of works.. but i feel the light shouldnt be so bright at ear, but more at the "subject".. cheeks and razor..
to explain more what i want to say, i made a rough (bad) retouch at ps.. and add as a variant.. just to show you..
again, it is a comment.. i think it must be very hard to handle light.. my variant of the photo

Silvia, thank you very much for your comment.
I see what you mean, and agree with you. The thing is that I didn't set up the light (and his position either), it was the sun that lit his face through the window for one-two minutes during which I managed to take three photos and this is the one I like most. Anyway, your suggestion is valuable and I'll try to darken his neck and ear and lighten up his face a bit, and then maybe repost the photo.
Thanks again!

Very nice shot, Serge. The handling of the light, though not on the spot - as Silvia said, is quite balanced, which is difficult under those lighting conditions. The subject seems to be very relaxed during the shot - which also adds to the result. Thanks for your visit, and do use real B&W film, for the results are far superior than those of digital cameras, and also because no digital camera nowadays can endure what your good ol´ Nikon can.
Best regards.
