Katmai National Park Alaska...We called this one snaggle tooth due to the fact that one of his large teeth was actually turned outward. How it got this way, who knows. Perhaps a battle with another male. This one weighs in excess of 1000 lbs. showing the huge size these animals can get. Yet, they can move quite rapidly at more than 35 miles per hour. The other side of the river had a steep incline of about 30 feet and yet they were able to climb up the slope with very little effort.

He was not too far away. They don't seem to care about people(thank goodness) though as the fish were plentiful>
