It's getting late in the day now and time to head back down. Lake Louise is seen down below. The hotel is just to the right of this photo. And no, we're not going to take the direct route to the lake. Believe it or not, it appears that may be possible from the trail at the summit. And, there is a sign that says not to take the shortcut. It gets to be a straight dropoff rather quickly even though you can't see it from the summit.
