Photo Looking north from Wiwaxy Gap by Jim Griffin

We've made the steep ascent to Wiwaxy gap and have done a well earned rest to admire the view. This picture is taken in the opposite direction from lake O'hara looking North. The view north over Cataract Brook includes cathederal mountain and the peaks of the Wapta and Waputik icefields. We'll next head toward Lake Oesa which is southeast from our current spot and sits at about the 11 oclock position in relation to Lake O'hara. Fortunately, it's pretty much all downhill!! :-)

downhill.. that sounds like heaven after this climb!.. but it deserved!
so beautiful view.. so deep feeling of immensity..
