notes:
After our stop at Lake Oesa, it is time to move on to Lake Opabin. If we think of Lake O'hara as a clock, we started at 4 oclock at the lodge and traversed clockwise to about 11 oclock to reach Lake Oesa. We will now head back toward the center of our clock (Lake O'hara) and hike beneath Yukeness mountain(seen in a previous picture, which is at 12:00 o'clock in reference to Lake O'hara) on the Yukeness Ledge. I look back at Lake Oesa and take one more picture, this time without quite so much sun. The elevation of Lake Oesa is 2260m. The small lake below Lake Oesa is known as a paternoster lake. Lake Oesa is dammed up by a glacier worn rock slab known as a riegel. scanned negative....I have added another picture of Lake Oesa taken from the trail descending from Wiwaxy Gap just to show the amazing trails that are built on the sides of these mountains.

This variant shows another previous view taken from the trail from Wiwaxy gap down to Lake Oesa. The best views of Lake Oesa are from this descending trail. The trail system is absolutely amazing here. It may look scary as it is cut on the side of a mountain, but at no time do I feel an any danger. Maybe because I'm too busy enjoying the outstanding views!!:-) my variant of the photo
