We've now hiked around Yukeness mountain via the Yukeness ledge and climbed up a moderate but short hill that leads away from the view of Lake O'hara to finally get a view of Lake Obapin. We are now at the 1 oclock position in reference to Lake O'hara. The terrain up to this point has been very rocky so it's nice to get on some softer ground as the trail leads to Lake Obapin. We've now hiked 7.1 km and as hard and rocky as the terrain has been, my feet are starting to feel some discomfort. However, I don't mind as the scenery is outstanding and a great day to hike. The elevation of the lake is 2290 m. Hungabee mountain sits at the 11 oclock position in this shot behind the lake. The rubble you see at about the 2 oclock position was formed during the little ice age....scanned negative.
