honestly, i don't like the parcial desaturation on it. it looks weird in some way. it could result a bit more if the desaturation was not so drastic.

I like the image, but not sure I like the b/w background. To me it feels too artificial - usually this is used to draw the eye to the subject, but here I feel the subject is in context with the surroundings, which should then be included. Did you try it both ways?
