Glacier National Park in Montana is one of the great parks for hiking, scenery, and wildlife. One of the more popular and scenic hikes is the Grinnell Glacier hike which consists of about a 12 mile roundtrip hike. The first part to the glacier is uphill and the return trip mostly downhill. The hike goes by several lakes on the way to the glacier. This shot is taken early in the hike with the glacier not in the picture but at about the 1 oclock position....scanned negative
